The Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) and Semeurs d`Avenir (SDA) launched on the 21st of February 2017 in a press conference,  the Job & Orientation Fair at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agriculture – Tripoli, under the high patronage of Her Excellency the Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine and his Excellency the Minister of Industry Dr. Hussein Hajj Hassan.  H.E Dr. Ezzedine launched the fair in the presence of Mrs. Joumana Sayadi representing  H.E Dr. Hajj Hassan , and Mr.Jose Luis Vinuesa Santamaria representing the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon.

 
This fair is part of IECD project under Afkar III program funded by the European Union and managed by The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform. The main objective of the fair is to create a link between complementary and technical schools and local companies.

During three days (21st, 22nd and 23rd of February), around 2000 students and job seekers were introduced to the technical career path and to different types of enterprises from the industrial, commercial, and medical sector. Pupils were given a panorama of the different technical specializations available in the area and the related job opportunities awaiting them at the end of such education.

In parallel, current technical students were given the opportunity to meet companies and get more familiar with their environment. Both groups participated in interactive orientation activities leading them through the stands and giving them information on vocational education paths, hiring processes and companies requirements.
