Baldati offices- Elissar

                                                    Baldati launched " E-dialogue"
under the framework of Afkar II

Baldati launched its E-Dialogue project during a press conference held in its offices on December 27, 2007, where it presented the project’s objectives, means of implementation, and team.

AFKAR coordinator Mme Youmna Ghorayeb, who attended the conference with Emergences representative Ms. Denise Murr, pointed out the project’s unique methodology, in that it targets young people and relies on modern and developed techniques at the service of Lebanese values – particularly dialogue, meetings, and national and international democracy. She stressed on the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors and civil society, pointing at the extent of trust and collaboration between OMSAR and the selected NGOs in an atmosphere of freedom, technical and financial support.

Baldati director Chaker Noun explained  that e-dialogue on Baldati.com aims at calling all the Lebanese, particularly the youth, to take up their responsibilities anytime and wherever they are, whether inside or outside their home, work place, town, or city. He added that a dialogue among civil society will be hosted on www.baldati.com, whereby the best Lebanese dialogue person, facilitator, and host will all be selected during a public event. Mr. Noun also stated that this is the only dialogue that can host millions of Lebanese people without causing any traffic. E-dialogue offers the opportunity to choose the ten most important issues and discuss them over the Internet. It also allows people to learn the fundamentals of citizenship through work and training seminars, nature trips, and gatherings.
