2nd training about Monitoring, evaluation and capitalization
Under Afkar II program for the enhancement of the civil society, financed by the European Union, the Office of the Minister of State for Administration Reform organized a workshop under the title: “Monitoring, Evaluation & Capitalization”. It is the second of eight workshops organized by “Émergences”. The training session was held on the 29th and 30th of January, in the headquarters of OMSAR, in Starco building. Representatives of Afkar I & II program as well as of other NGOs participated in the workshop. The training session aimed to develop the participants’ capacities to follow-up and assess the undertaken projects with a view of capitalizing the expertise they acquired during these projects.
The international expert, Javier Shunk, and the Lebanese expert, Ibrahim Eid, passed their expertise and skills on to the participants. They defined the basic notions of scheming and executing a project. They elaborated upon the various methods of monitoring the execution of a project, from auditing to assessment, to capitalization methods, to techniques adopted for that purpose.
The workshop included also practical and palpable cases of the notions studied by the experts during the two-day training session. It was agreed with the Lebanese expert to organize an additional day of training on the 20th of February, with the same group of participants, where more practical cases will be studied. In addition to the in-the-field follow-up of the NGOs’ work in the coming period.
